How it works

From the first question to the first saving.

Enwiz isn't a calculator you use once and close again. It's a companion that starts with a proper stocktake and stays with you through the follow-through.

  1. 01

    The stocktake

A guided onboarding captures everything that actually uses energy in your home: building, heating, appliances, hot water, habits, region. No smart meter, no hardware, no switching provider — what you tell us is enough.

  2. 02

    The calculation

From that, Enwiz works out your electricity, heating and water use — and sums it up in an energy score from 1 to 10. You see at a glance where you stand today and the score you could reach with the right measures. Every number stays traceable to your inputs. No black box.

  3. 03

    Your savings plan

The heart of it: a plan of concrete measures — each with its saving, its cost and its payback. From habits through appliances to structural investment, ranked by what pays off most for you.

  4. 04

    Your dashboard

Everything energy-related in one place, at a glance: usage, costs, savings potential and the measures still open — instead of scattered across five bills and three portals.

  5. 05

    The follow-through

Then Enwiz stays at your side: log meter readings, hold the forecast up against reality, track your progress. In the end you see in black and white whether your measures actually worked.

Electricity · Heating · Water

Three streams. One clear picture.

Enwiz brings all your usage together and turns it into numbers you actually understand — so you know where your money and energy really go.

Electricity

From standby to heat pumps: Enwiz shows which areas drive your bill — and where saving pays off most.

Heating

Your biggest household cost. Enwiz puts your heat use in context and shows which measures actually pay off.

Water

Hot water costs twice — water and energy. Enwiz reveals where you can save without losing comfort.

Clarity, not guesswork

From a bill nobody understands — to one number that counts.

Your energy statement is a graveyard of prepayments, base rates and unit prices. Enwiz turns it into a clear estimate: what your usage really costs you — and where you can save.

Saving, with a clear conscience

Good for you. Good for the planet.

Every kilowatt-hour you don't use lowers your bill — and spares resources and the climate at the same time. With Enwiz, saving money and protecting the environment aren't opposites; they're the same thing.

Using less follows a simple win-win-win principle: it saves you money, spares the planet, and takes load off the grid. No sacrifice, no finger-wagging — you decide what fits your everyday life.

Why Enwiz exists

Using less always wins.

In 2022, energy prices exploded with the war in Ukraine. The argument has run ever since: nuclear or coal, wind or gas — which way of generating power is the right one? And underneath it, the worry about a grid that has to absorb both fluctuating generation and fluctuating demand. The debate is still going, and it won't be settled any time soon.

Something struck me about it — one thing nobody in that debate disputes:

The kilowatt-hour you don't use is always the best one. It doesn't need to be generated, transmitted, or paid for.

  • For the planet

Energy that is never generated is the cleanest there is — no matter where the power would otherwise have come from.

  • For the grid

Every kilowatt-hour saved takes load off a grid that is struggling with volatile generation.

  • For your wallet

According to co2online, German households leave around €400 of savings on the table every year.

A win on all three counts, with no catch. But knowing that alone saves nothing. What most people lack is the overview — how much do I actually use, is that a lot, and which measure pays off in exactly my situation? That's the gap Enwiz closes.

Who's behind it

Hi, I'm Gabriel.

I'm 27, I study business informatics at Esslingen University — and Enwiz is a one-person project. Product idea, concept, engineering, design and copy: all mine.

The idea came to me during the 2022 energy crisis, looking at apps like fitness coaches, Taxfix or Finanzguru: why is there nothing like that for your own energy use? For three years it stayed a daydream. In 2025 I stopped waiting and simply started with what I had.

I'm not a classically trained, syntax-fluent developer. My strength is conceptual: getting to the bottom of problems, understanding how things connect, finding clean solutions. So Enwiz is built with thoroughly AI-assisted development — but structured, not blind: read and plan first, then build, and back every meaningful change with automated tests and critical code reviews. Over 500 tests cover the calculation logic alone. I want to understand what happens in my project, not just generate code.

What I'm missing most right now is honest feedback from real people. Your impression of Enwiz is worth more to me than any number in my own dashboard.
